An easy trek from Kalaw to Inle Lake which takes six days. Walking over gentle slopes, following tracks from village to village through farmlands and over low mountains. Sleeping in local people's homes and Buddhist monasteries. The trek from Kalaw to Inle Lake can be done in two or three days, but this extended trek lasts six days and five nights. The first two days lead from Kalaw to the north in an anticlockwise direction around the town, passing The Viewpoint Restaurant and along the railroad south of town. The next four days the route heads more or less to the east and finally reaches Kaung Daing Village at the shore of Inle Lake. |
